EXTREMELY RARE 1920s Paragon Beatrice Mallet Childrens Side Plate: Pams Washed Her Dollies Clothes
Have listed on Etsy a little group of extremely hard to find 1920s Paragon ceramics.
This one is a rare little side plate or tea plate which was made after an illustration by Beatrice Mallet.
It features little girl called Sam.
It is wash day and she has taken her dolls out into the garden and has decided to wash their clothes.
They rest all slumped behind the tub.
We wet clothes they arent allowed out to play!
The back of the plate has the Paragon backstamp as photographed.
This plate says that this design is from Paragons Beatrice Mallet series.
Mallet was a celebrated illustrator and postcard artist, she specialised in these cute images of children.
Her names in on the front of the plate.
Her work is very like that of Mabel Lucie Attwell in style and subject.
The condition is very fine as you can see in my photos.
In good condition commensurate with age no chips or cracks.
These plates are very, very scare.
My price reflect both the condition and rarity of this most collectable plate great item for display in an art deco interior on a little stand.
Diameter is 6 1/4 inches.
