Victorian turquoise diamond 15ct gold flower ring antique
Late Victorian turquoise and diamond 15ct gold forgetmenot ring A pretty little flower ring, the applied top of 9.1 x 7.8mm set with six turquoise cabochons, the centre a small rose cut diamond in a raised gold mount.
The tapered shoulders have delicate, fernlike engravings and lead to a 1.6mm band.
The reverse of the flower possibly once housed a glass aperture for mementos, but is now vacant.
This a lovely, vivid ring that will add colour and Victorian whimsy to any stack.
It would have been given as a sweetheart token during the latter period of the Victorian era, when turquoise was frequently used to replicate the bright blue of the sentimental forgetmenot flower.
