Recently refurbished vintage sewing cabinet/storage unit with a cushioned top
A friend gave me a very sad looking sewing cabinet in the hope that I could convert it into a beautiful desirable item.
I had a favourite embroidery piece which I had recently digitised from an image of a Jorga Smith pout that made the perfect top and which creates a contemporary effect.
A refurbished vintage sewing cabinet that has multiple storage uses: it has a cushioned top with yellow pompom trim around the edges.
The base of the unit has been recovered in a woven Burmese fabric in a vibrant hot pink .
The elegant legs which screw on have brass fittings on the bottom and are made in a black plastic and the inside of the box is made from a durable plastic textile.
I added an antique brass knob on the front for ease of opening
The dimensions are: The storage part is 36cm x 36cm x 16cm (width, depth, height) and it stands 41 cm high The cushioned top is 36cm x 36 cm x 4 cm
