Antique Victorian Upholstered Adjustable Music, Piano or Dressing Table Stool with Embroidered Seat
If you are looking for an eyecatching and comfortable antique stool which also can be adjusted to different heights using the handles on either side, then this impressive late Victorian stool in is made for you.
Its original function over a century ago was as a piano or music stool with side handles allowing for portability and an upholstered embroidered top for long sessions practicing scales.
I suspect it is made of oak but the dark varnish or paint over the woodwork makes it hard to gauge the top has been reupholstered comparatively recently with a charming embroidered fabric appropriate for the age of the stool.
The adjustment mechanism is still in good working order.
This would look attractive in a contemporary or period property for use as a dressing table, work or piano stool or in a traditional inn or pub.
The stool is robust and stable with the wear, scuffs and marks to the woodwork which youd expect to find on authentic antique items of household furniture.
The fabric on the seat is very clean with virtually no wear and no tears.
Please view all photos as they form a major part of the item description.
The stool measures approx.
53cm tall x 50cm x 35cm.
